BROKEN BOW, Okla. (March 17, 2026) — Fewer than 10 starts into the 2026 season, Gary Christian has already found his way to victory lane.

The Broken Bow, Oklahoma native captured his first win of the year with a dominant performance in Friday’s $3,000 All-American Outlaw Modified Series-sanctioned Triple Threat opener at Arrowhead Speedway. Piloting the Hochatown Saloon / 4J Energy, LLC / Smith Equipment Company No. 58x CDR Race Cars Modified, Christian led from the drop of the green flag to seal the victory.

A bid for a weekend sweep fell short on Saturday, as mechanical issues forced an early exit in the finale.

“I hate that Saturday didn’t go our way, but we’ve got a really fast car right now,” Christian said. “Cade has been a huge help, and all the testing we’ve been doing is starting to show. I can’t thank my family, crew, and all of my sponsors enough for their support. We’ve got a great group behind us, and I’m very grateful.”

The fourth annual Triple Threat featured a unique format, with twin 25-lap features on Friday followed by three main events on Saturday. Christian set the tone early by winning his heat race, earning a front-row starting spot for the opener. He capitalized immediately, taking command on the opening lap and leading wire-to-wire for the victory.

On Saturday, Christian again showed speed by scoring a heat race win to lock into the 25-lap main event, but his night ended on lap nine of the feature.

Christian is slated to return to action in two weeks as the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) opens its 2026 campaign with the King of America XV at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri.
