Gary Christian gobbles up 15th-place finish at Turkey Bowl XIX
With a $6,000 winner’s share on the line, more than 70 Modified teams took part in Turkey Bowl XIX at Springfield (Missouri) Raceway over the weekend. Gary Christian turned in a solid top-15 A-Main result in his Hochatown Saloon No. 58x machine at the quarter-mile track.
On Friday, Christian finished fifth in his first heat race and won his second. Saturday saw him take the checkered flag in his B-Main, starting him 11th in the 30-lap feature. He ultimately came home 15th in the main event.
