Gary Christan races with Heartland Modified Tour at Lakeside Speedway
After the Mod War 100 event at Heart O’ Texas Speedway was canceled, Gary Christian turned his attention to USRA Heartland Modified Tour (HMT) action. He made one of his infrequent starts with the series on Friday at Lakeside Speedway, but found little luck.
Thirty-one Modified competitors took on the $2,000-to-win show at the 4/10-mile track in Kansas City, Kansas, including Christian and his Hochatown Saloon No. 58x team. He qualified fourth in his group and appeared to take third in his heat race. However, he was disqualified.
Christian went on to advance from eighth to fourth in the B-Main to grab the last transfer spot into the 25-lap feature. He started 24th in the main event and came home in the same position after suffering a DNF.
