USMTS Swing Over Memorial Day Weekend Awaits

BROKEN BOW, Okla. (05/14/25) – Gary Christian took advantage of an off weekend with the United States Modified Touring Series and claimed his first win of the season at Tri-State Speedway aboard his Hochatown Saloon / 4J Energy, LLC / Smith Equipment Company No. 58x CDR Race Cars Modified.

The Broken Bow, Oklahoma native led 17 of the 20 laps to capture the $700 payday in the track’s Mother’s Day Special.

“It feels great to be standing here,” Christian said in Victory Lane. “I think we’re really starting to turn the corner with this CDR Race Car. With Mother’s Day tomorrow, this win is for my wife—she’s my biggest supporter and an incredible mother to Addison and Kitt. We couldn’t be more grateful for everything she does for our family.”

Competing in the 16-car USRA Modified class as part of the Mother’s Day Special at the 3/8-mile oval in Pocola, Oklahoma, Christian opened his evening by winning one of two heat races. He started fourth in the 20-lap feature and claimed the top spot on the third circuit. He went on to lead the final 18 laps and held off Mike Hansen on the way to the checkered flag.

Christian won by 0.907 seconds over Hansen, with Matthew Day, Tate Cole and Jacob Campbell completing the top five.
