Gary Christian takes on XR Dominator at Salina Highbanks

Broken Bow, Oklahoma, native Gary Christian raced in his home state over the weekend with a start in the XR Dominator event at Salina Highbanks Speedway in Pryor Creek.

When competition kicked off at the 3/8-mile clay oval on Friday, Christian was among 66 Modified drivers on hand for the XR One Nation Under Modifieds (ONUM) event paying $100,000 to win. He started strong as he drove his 4J Energy No. 58x car to the second-quickest time in his qualifying group that evening.

Christian started second and finished third in his heat race on Saturday, positioning him ninth on the grid to begin the 60-lap finale. He ran in the top 10 until just before halfway, but ultimately suffered a DNF and claimed the 20th spot in the final results.
